Welcome to Nelson Red Angus

Located in southeast Minnesota, we are a family-operated Red Angus herd founded by brothers, Erik and Jesse Nelson.  Both Erik and Jesse work for the family-run sale barn, Lanesboro Sales Commission, and know the importance of functional cattle first-hand.  Our goal is to pair performance with eye appeal throughout our herd and offer genetics to positively impact the Red Angus breed.  We are constantly striving to produce the highest quality cattle that not only compete in the show ring, but more importantly in your herd.  Cattle offering long-term functionality and performance is top priority.

We offer bulls for sale by private treaty each spring and our top-end heifers each fall.  Embryos and semen are also available.  Please feel free to contact us if we can be of assistance and if you are ever in our neck of the woods, please stop by to take a look at the cattle.  Visitors are always welcome.
